This page covers the ZOQO app itself — your account, your conversations, and your voice. (The marketing website has its own, separate privacy page for visitors who haven't signed up.)

What we collect

Account — the email address and password you sign up with. Your password is never stored in readable form, only as a salted hash.
Your voice — when you speak to the app, that recording is sent off to be turned into text. The recording itself is discarded right after; only the resulting written text is kept, as part of your conversation.
Your conversations — what you say and what the app replies, in text, so your history persists across sessions. It is stored in an area tied only to your account.
Usage — simple counts of how much you've used the app, so the service can be kept fair and working for everyone.
How the app is used — which screens and buttons get used, where people get stuck, a replay of what was tapped or scrolled on screen, and any errors the app hits, collected through an analytics tool (PostHog). This is never tied to your email or account — it's an anonymous device identifier only. Anything you actually said or typed — any message text, any screen you were in the middle of recording — is blacked out before it ever leaves your device; the replay shows the shape of the screen, never its words.
Your own key, if you provide one — if you choose to connect your own AI-provider key instead of using the app's own, it is stored encrypted, separate from the normal application data.

Who else sees it

To write a reply, that turn's conversation text is sent to an outside AI company — whichever one is currently powering the app's replies. Turning your voice into text, and turning a written reply back into speech, is likewise done by outside speech-recognition and speech-synthesis services. Each of these companies only ever sees the one turn it's processing for you, and only for as long as it takes to do that — never your whole history, and never for any other purpose. Which company that is can change over time; it is never sold to advertisers, never shared with other users, and never used to build a profile of you.

Separately, PostHog receives anonymous usage analytics and screen replays as described above — never your messages, never your voice, never anything that identifies you by name or email.

How long we keep it

Your conversation text is kept until you delete a chat or delete your account. Like most services, this app keeps rolling technical backups of its servers; a deleted chat or account can remain in one of those backups for a little longer — up to about six months — before it fully ages out everywhere. Your voice recordings are not kept at all; they're discarded immediately after being turned into text.

Deleting your account

Write to us at victor.tondee@gmail.com and ask us to delete your account — we will remove your account and the conversations stored under it. Deleting a single chat, without deleting the whole account, can be done from inside the app at any time.

Children

ZOQO is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
